Kingdom Inns

If we wanted to make something really neat, we could easily rent out rooms in the castle based on their gmap coordinates or even make Inn's with about 20 or 30 rooms in them for many players to simply rent a room. They do things like this on Unholy Nations if you want to see an example.

But ever since I redid the interior of the forest castle, I have been thinking of what we could do with those bedrooms that are in there, even the barracks.
It wouldnt be so hard to add in rentable rooms with some carefull scripting, assuming someone knows what they are scripting.

In general I like the idea, but I guess it can cause problems, if somebody forgot to pay his rent and the room gets unlocked or so.

Actions -> Consequences.
They'll just have to remember to pay, otherwise they accept the outcome. Just make them aware of the risk.

Useless addition, what is needed right now are quick updates that enhance gameplay more.

New events coming out, new items. Not inns that will barely be used.

Right but I think it's possible to find a solution: The stored items will get back in players inventory, when the room unlocks.

I would simply say they would have to pick them up or be forced to hold onto them again. Could even give a warning to them in advance like renting a shop stand to sell semething.

Or even better yet, you could charge them for being overdue on payments too. Could simply deny access to the room or items until they paid.

Err no offense Dayaa but about the only likely place that would do any type of Inn business is MMT. Its right in Bomboria which is busy always.

if you rent a room in a castle and that kingdom is at war some body can just hide in that room and that will be stupid and people will not like it.

I definately agree.

Sure, Inn's would be nice, but what good would they do if there's nobody on the server to actually use them? We need some quick updates to get players back. If that's even a possibility at this point, seeing as most members gave out/sold all their items before they quit.

Sorry but you would have to be in that kingdom to rent that room in such castle. Usually the number of rooms in a castle is limited to those higher up in command anyways. Or maybe someone of importance.

The Inn idea, which was the other half to this idea was a seperate building for the public, not run by .. em well People. It would be better to run it with some NPC or something.

**Commenting on how GK is "dieing" it really isnt so true as we all would have liked to think. Since staff are limited we should start with smaller projects and work our way up as we can perhaps become a bit more popular of a server to be playing on.
