nuthor question about a tileset

okay i have asked help from sum ppl on aim but they couldnt figure it out

i added a tileset or amde it myself using fireworks and made it a png from a gif umm and when i try using it in the client as many of you know it comes otu all wierd like squashed well here is what i used

That is a HORRIBLE tileset. It's like pics1.png but EXTREMELY BRIGHT. Why?

it is pics i jsuit brightended it it is going to be like a cartoon style...

There is an easier way of doing that... :/ Forget what it's called, might even by obsolet now, but there was a way you could change the contrast of the levels... people used to use it to make a day/night system. You could try asking some scripts about that :P

But honestly, I don't know how to get it to work, I forget a lot of stuff, but you should not use that tileset. The high contrast burns my eyes.

use Paint.NET and save it into a gif?
Always worked for me

btw, try PSP 10 and use some plugins for the contrast, it burns my eyes out of my head :[

ok thx 4 ur advise and uhh i trie dthat .gif thing but it didnt wrok i will upldoa the updated tileset and the pic that shows what happens...

First you could go and delete the offlinetiledefs and the tiledefs for your server in the tiledefs folder (in your Graal folder). Alternately you could use the removetiledefs; command if you're working offline and readd.

The problem could also be caused by filesize, or bit depth. I'm not sure on the specific limitations, maybe someone will explain that further.
