Molotovs.

To those who don't know what this is, it's a bottle filled with gasoline/alcohol with a paper sticking out of the rim. You light the paper and throw the bottle igniting the gasoline/alcohol.

I'm thinking something along the line of throwing it and it blows up leaving fire that spreads for ten seconds. After the ten seconds, the fire dies down.

I'm sure I could find a friend of mine to do the GFX and I could throw in a custom gani for it.

Ok... I'm thinking of something like this:

I'll make the equip gani so that the player lights the paper on fire and holds it ready to throw. If they don't throw it within five seconds, it will ignite in their hands doing damage.

Classes I think should get the Molotovs:

1. Grenader
2. Medic (these guys have no grenades. Let's be a little generous )
3. Sapper

i think that medic should not have it cause they r not supposed 2 use stuff like that but sapper and granader sounds just fine

If someone got hit with the molotov itself, would it do a lot of damage? (Please, I hope it's nothing like a pipebomb). Anyway, good idea, keep it up

Medics should have it in my opinion, medics carry some chemicals for healing right? heh well anyway also give it to chemical trooper.

i think this weapon should do about 25 dmg if it hits the guy dead on and 10 dmg for the 10 seconds it burns you so it would do a tottal of 35 dmg a hit

and it should be for class

Grenadier
Chemical Trooper
Heavyinfintry
Guardian
Sapper

Ok, since we have some damage questions...

When it explodes, if you're in the general diameter, I guess 20 - 25hp damage is reasonable (This includes igniting in your hand).

As for the fire - This won't be any different than the fire from flamethrowers. If you touch it, you catch on fire and so on.

Also note that the fire doesn't burn you for ten seconds, the fire spreads on the ground for ten seconds.

Commander was the best class and had dh18's. It owned but then they took it away because it was only on Koth which is now Zone wars.

Edit: To anyone who could make GFX of the molotov, it'd be greatly appreciated if you made it.

The graphics must consist of:

Nine directions of a bottle with paper in it NOT ON FIRE YET.
Nine directions of a bottle with paper that is on fire.
Maybe some glass shattering sprites.
