Difrnt Drawings

So, heres the plan.
I own a website called Difrnt, I am gonna make it a art/portfolio type website.
Kind of like deviant art, but mostlikly by invite or aproval only.

I am looking for contributions of logo ideas (preferably vectored, but can be done any way) or headers or splashes, I myself am working on a few things, but am crunched with time.

Any contributions are welcome, nothing required or needed really.
Just thought I might give some people something to do.

To find the site just ad a .com to the name of it since I can't link...

Bad font choice. Doesn't suit the trees. I suggest a linen pressed style times, or a typewritter.

yes. I would probably agree with ZH, but then again its "Different" than to what you would expect. I guess the font used accomplishes the purpose of the site in itself.

For the sake of being different he should have chosen a different design rather than a poor choice to suit the design "idea".

Personally, if I were trying to be different I would of went with your standard joe regular layout (professional, ofcourse) because I can imagine the user might expect a "different" layout and in turn find a surprise.

But I have to say, when it comes to webpages, functionality is very significant - and personally, I would say more much important than "design".

I actually love the font and infact, I think if you added some branches and stuff going down the side with the colors it would look quite nice.

The one issue I have is with the 'Difrnt' having the same wierd mixture of colors as the tree directly in the center. Throws off the subtle sense of symmetry the image has to begin with. It'd be a lot better if kept white. (The lettering)

Yeah, in fact lettering would all together look better with just a white or one solid color.

Give me some ideas, I was thinking maybe sideways tabs on the side...or something.

Nope, javascript and images.

Finished up the navagation, for the most part.
Forums link works, forums work, will be skinning it soon.
Hopefully I can start taking applications for portfolio space before the end of the month!

I just redesigned the site, more practical navagation now.
Started to use the logo.
More space to put STUFF.

Maybe change the white to light gray? I think it would look better.

Looks nice now, although it sits quite high up on the screen (look at all of the empty space below, it's so uneven with the space above. Ever heard of the golden rule? :P).
