introduce real war

without vehicles its not really war? money is power, and infantry is not really expensive..
on all maps there should but more than speeders.. maybe a different variety of vehicles but everything should be there.. land and sky.. maybe mechs or tanks for iricia.. speeders or new ships too? with landing zones too so you cannot fly from base to base ect.
to see dogfights and aaction above and below would change the atmosphere dramastically. for the better too.
This game is fun but i;ve played a lot of war games. in each one i get a certain feel to it.. i don't feel the war in zone.. just people with guns shooting and stuff.. to add to this game dogfights.. maybe even a totally new area? such as 2 dropships in between space and u fly out in speeders and dogfight.. maybe make new tournament modes.. where u go from planet to planet facing teams and stuff. but vehicles is a major aspect in war.
and it adds to the fun a lot. imagine speeders or flying bombers firing at you from above? homing missles locking onto you in flight.. you try to shake em? imagine how much more fun that sounds than zone as it is today. please think about it.

i like the idea of multiple areas for a team event :O

and i also like the idea of more vehicles and an air fight thing

but...i just think that would be TOO much for zone right now...

it took this long to get guild wars...so......somethin like that could take...2 years

From the look of your posts your a bunch of babbling idiots, in a good way. What zone lacks unfortunately, is chaos. Zone works kinda like this. A bunch of 'good' players get together and become friends, therefore they don't kill each other in spar areas. This creates unity between teams, which is bad. Zone needs CHAOS. Thats what I like about Guild Wars, until one team has below 10 it has the feel of what I picture war as, fighting and death EVERYWHERE. After it's below 10 it gets to a manhunt type thing.

Exactly, I'm not letting a good planet go down the toilet because of idiots who want to talk with the other team, if they start talking and not killing, I kill whoever they talk to. If the complain abut getting killed, tell them they were the ones who walked into a PK area.

You're forgetting that Zone is only 2D. Dodging homing missles would be just flying around in circles until the missles go away.

I agree though. We need an air only vehicle. 2 people should run it, one bombs the other fires straight. If it runs into a jetpack, damage is done to the person using the jetpack but none at all to the plane.

This brings up an idea of anti-air-guns. A simple gun that fires verticle only.

it would really take too long to make that new level?
all it would be is 2 mini dorpships.. and then just space in the middle. where you leave in the small spaceships... it doesn't seem too long to do. guildwars is way bigger, this could be just something to kill time with.
but overall i odo want flying stuff on all levels afterall it's not war is it?

Now lets not get carried away, we cant make zone into some super game, it is what it is

however a nice space level(advanced speeders made to look like space ships) and such like a two team 'space' level isnt that hard(to think of lol) just use the scripting from the old speeders(maybe modify) but that Would be a start

another(kinda off) idea is to... not delete old levels to add new ones like long ago I remember ctf Now we miss it lol just add a planet =P

overall the Ideas are good, just need to be brought into reality

Where the map is two giant dropships with certain compartments a special class has to fix in order for one ship to open up a bridge to the next. And on the outside of each there would be turrets and things to damage certain parts of the ship, to make them unusable and such. In the end, the main goal would be to destroy the core generator in the center of the ship, but each time the way to get across is different and requires different minds to think it out.
