Exclamation Graal v4.04 revision 2 released

A new version has been uploaded which is mainly a bug-fix release.

Fixes:
- fixed a problem of non-stopping looping sounds
- the option for not loading heads for the player list is working better now
- better error message when the connection cannot be established (asks to check the internet cable & firewall)
- fixed some controls which were still using the old red/gold profiles (GuiPopUpMenuCtrl needs to set scrollprofile)
- fixed the code of several Gui controls which were producing division-by-zero errors in certain situations
- re-added the file selection for scripted-RC (selectFileForUpload(), selectFileForDownload(string)), also displays the other drives now on Windows
- fixed the file-upload (for scripted RC)
- fixed again the timed-out error on Graal3D so that it displays the correct error and goes back to the login screen
- fixed animating of gifs/mngs in Graal3D
- fixed the logout from Graal3D, to fix relogin problems
- fixed a problem with updating files with upper case letters (on Linux/Mac)

Additions:
- new option 'Use a minimum of video resources' for using textures of smaller size; this option doesn't reduce the image quality, and doesn't change anything for newer cards (should only make a different with geforce2 or older)
- new scripting function setSelectedByText(text) for GuiTextListCtrl, GuiPopUpMenuCtrl, GuiPopUpEditCtrl, and GuiContextMenuCtrl

Is there any chance of getting some kind of NC Echoing for the scripted-RC implemented? Perhaps like a sendtext("clientnc", 1); or something like that?

I've noticed that after installing this revision the player list will display other player's heads incorrectly. I have the option, Don't load heads for playerlist/maps, checked.

Example: On GK, with this option enabled, the playerlist should display all "noob" heads. Now everyone's head is displayed as the image for the npc server/NPC outline thing. Another example is on Era. With the same option enabled everyone else's head appears as my currently selected head image instead of the "noob" head as it used to in other revisions.

The same applies for any other server while this option is enabled. I've tried it with the option off and the heads appear correctly.

It's supposed to be like that, always display the first head, not loading different heads

Oh. Well it never did that before this revision for me. Weird.

Well I guess it would be interesting if someone scripts some kind of gfx uploader for head gfx etc. Only problem is that currently you need (Client-)RC rights for downloading/uploading and for selecting the upload folder.

Funny, I was thinking about doing that for Era but I couldn't think of a way to extract files from RC folders. More specifically, the heads folder.

Hmm, I liked it better when you had 'don't load heads for playerlist/minimap', it showed the head as the statusicon_online or whatever it is

There is always a loadfolder() serverside, and there's requesttext("folder", "path/to/folder") on the clientside.

Let's play a game where we guess which revision will bring the disabling of v2.

Will contact the people who are still using v2 this weekend, it should only be a matter of days until v2 is disabled. Also it should not be a problem since servers can already disable v2 if they need v4 features.

How do I disable < v4.04 on Classic? Really kindof necessary. Also hoping you add players[i].paused and players[i].rating/d for the rating and nick systems. The way it is now is breaking a few event things (using player.attr[]).

That doesn't disable older versions of v4. People have been able to get on with 4.03. The isblocking variable doesn't exist for older versions of v4.

Then use graalversion and tell them to update?

It's more of a matter of security, I guess I could get GrowlZ or something to rescript the v3 blocker to handle it. (Or I just did it)
