Big Swords.

I know they have big and small shields but a big sword would kick, also you should have a hilt of scabbard in the back of your character to place your sword. The sword you have a ready state and a mode which you have to pull it out (1 second delay) may require some changes to the sword template but I think if you just use the angled sword images (the 45 degree shots) then it should be okay and the 30 degree (I'm assuming) shots for left and right. Then when you are done using your sword you have to press a key to put it away (1 second delay to put away) it would make graal more realistic. also if you have your sword out when you run into people you hurt them (as a normal swing but they don't bounce back and your sword is disabled for about .75 seconds and you put your sword away. It would be kind of neat if you could drop you sword (like if it is out and you are hit by another sword, no damage but lose sword) and you have to run and pick it back up before you can use it again. Pickign up would require 2 seconds, 1 to grab, 1 to put back away. Then another second to take it out into ready position again.

Damasca had a really HUGE sword that was like.. 10 tiles long! i remember seeing it once, too bad they had too much illegal stuff =\

as i recall, stefan was trying to do something with the way swords are scripted that would allow custom player swords or something like that...but the last i remember, stefan said that script was too long.

With all this lag it takes me a full second to swing my sword anyway!!! But another one (3 or 4 with lag) before i could use it? NOOO! BAD!!!

Sword script long? If you include the slashing of tiles it isn't that long, I think mostly the fact that he wanted to use other weapons on the S key was the long script.

yup...its long because of the cutting of bushes, I believe. There are some other things too, not sure though. Cause several people and to do 2 swords, 1 in each hand

with the help of FxChip and Erica, i scripted a scythe, it is a like a big lvl 2 sword. im trying to make it with a keydown function but i cant get it.
and with this scythe, u can use the your sword and it at the same time

I wish there was a different animation for swinging your sword....Perhaps I could make some different ones... I think 2 swords would be awsome though, or a larger sword.

I made a really short bush / grass cutting code for sword.. Its not really long.) In fact It works better thant he current one cuz it wont cut an incompleate tileset... Like ifyou have 1/2 a bush. It wont cut it.

I thought it would be neat if players could have individual styles for sword use. Then I could use my shia do in Graal!
