I think it would be nice to have a search option to search for an account on the playerlist itself.

Would probably make it too complicated
I thought about it, but I don't think it's needed. There is already that in the members profile for those who pick it I think.

I had to choose between 1 and 3. I choose 1.
I like this idea i think it'd be nice and much like other MMO's. Being able to talk to your friend when theyre on other servers would be awsome in my oppinion.. It would prolly make PWs get bigger, seeing as Joe could PM Bob from PW1 and say Bob! Come to PW1 theyre doing this event, or theyre releasing this quest, or what not.

There IS a difference. You say the ability to be searched or not... I say the ability to be contacted or not. There is a big difference.

Having a bit in the playerlist that would show your buddies no matter what server they where on would be good I think but other than that it wouldn't be too helpful.

I think this whole idea about a global playerlist you only allow players to contact their friends and guilds globally.

You can only mass message to those who are on the same server as you, and still, if you were to go for private messages all it's saving you is the few seconds you'd hvae spent switching from one server to another.

One problem however is bans, as currently you can still PM even if you're banned on that server.

Hmm, maybe there could be a new line for the graalconfig.txt such as :

globalpmaccess=playerlists you want to be able to view. And if an account is banned from a server it would automatically disable the playerlist which the account is banned from.

I think a buddy/friends global chat list would be more widely accepted.
eg.
Joe adds Bob
Bob adds Joe
Then they can talk between servers.
Or perhaps a confirmation to recieve a message/buddy.
Joe has added you, would you like to add Joe?

I think having this as an option would be a good idea. Like AIM's privacy settings - either allowing anyone to contact you, or a list of who you choose.
