Gscript2 forum

Well, I am not sure, but for some new users, it may be confusing having Gscript and Gscript2 posts mixed in the forum. Maybe a new "New Engine Scripting" forum (or something) could be added to prevent confusion?

Yea, and some of us want it back. I have been told our Co-Owner has asked stefan for a change? And no answer from him.. been awhile now.. But anyhow.. yea that would be a good idea.

I like the idea, too. People who're interested in gscript2 can just view gscript2 material, and vica versa. After gscript1 is phased out, we could just go back to one forum.

Perhaps as a subforum until all servers have it, but I like Loriel's idea the best.

I can imagine that would cause confusion for alot of people, but yes, that is a good idea.

If you mean GScript2, then yes, playerworld owners just need to contact Stefan to have GScript2 enabled on their server.

If you mean the GScript2 sub-forum that is being requested in this thread, then no.

Are there actually any plans to phase out Gscript? I thought it would have probably been around forever. :P

I would assume so, since we're going to have a newer, more efficient and functional version at some point. It'll probably still be semi-supported for awhile though to allow for old scripts to be rewritten or otherwise.

It will at least be around until v2 is deprecated

Gscript will still be around until there is a disabledcommandsforlowadmins= and lowadmins= serveroption to prevent abuse of file-ops and such security hazards.
Gscript2 can be dangerous to a server if you know how to use it.
