Did you know that the average starting person has to get 4 iron, 1 board and 1 coal to get started mining. (Thats 2 iron, 1 board and 1 coal for the pickaxe, 1 iron for the spade to get a seed and 1 iron for the axe to cut the tree)
Now since the hold S+Across thing was taken out, mining with punches is far slower. To prove my point, try getting 1 coal and 4 iron by puching the rocks, It takes 5 mins per rock and that doesn't include those rocks with gold or diamonds in, so they have to get more rocks.
I think that either pickaxes have to be easier to craft, or punching rocks needs to be made easier.
Now this 5 mins to a rock may just be me, so if it is, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. (I eventually got a pick-axe by buying iron and some coal...)
