Player Leaves?

Okay, lets say you want a script so when the player leaves the room he/she is in, you don't go to the next level quite yet, but you have backpals that fade into the black backpal and then you go to the next level. So, it is like some Zelda game or something for Game Boy. Or Pokemon, you know so when you get in a battle in Pokemon, it fades.
