Buy the diamond axe?

Thanks to much farming, milking, and hat reselling, I finally scraped together 539 gralat. Now, I can either spend almost all of it on a Diamond Axe, or continue farming/milking/snowcone making. The thing is, I hate farming. On the other hand, though, mining can be a pain in the ass, especially with rock stealers.

So, any advice? Farming or mining? Thanks.
