so there's two levels of cast time now. wands cast time, spells cast time. this makes spells take longer to cast than ever. and now u can't spam spells. or quick cast although i don't mind that being fixed.
with this being said u need to be about .5 speed faster than your opponent to have enough time to cast a spell before you are hit by either a sword or heaven forbid a bow. and if u get poisoned GL casting anything.
this makes being a mage in a pvp setting in close corridors impossible. and on a map still very difficult.
the problem is everything interrupts a spells casting ( not to mention the chances of fumbling spells). including poisons affect. these interruptions can cause a character to freeze for multiple seconds allowing free shots and the loss of atleast half a mages hp.
i've noticed the priests in the dungeon and the crypt still have this freezing problem when casting, however. they're spells still cast.
my suggestion is.
make the casting system more similar to the priests where the wands cast time is the amount of time the melee player or whoever/whatever can interrupt the spell. once the cast time of the wand is complete and the cast time of the spell itself begins it can no longer be interrupted?
