"Walls" - lightning wall

Currently, I am in the Forest dungeon using "build lightning wall", and the emits that it does is pretty terrible. Sometimes it will emit perfectly fine(meaning all the way down, how it should), other times it will only emit once (meaning just one bolt on itself). I took a few pictures to help you understand whats happening. And no, its not different level-links, its all in the same level.

Edit: It seems like after an item gets burned in the path of the lightning, it hinders the path after the item is already burned and fire is gone. I could be wrong, but thats just what it seems like.
