RC Script Editing

I would like to request an alternative method of editing scripts.

Currently, the only way to update or create a new weapon/class/npc script is through the rc script editor, or the client rc script editor.

It would be more convenient to be able to download the script file, and edit it in the word editor of your choice.
It should work just like level files/image files/gani files in the file browser.

When you open an image file, it opens in your default program for editing or viewing images.

The client-rc script editor is atrocious. Being able to download the file, and open it with say Notepad++, then when its saved, its automatically uploaded. (Just like with level files)

I understand theres a way to rig your file rights on rc (or at least there used to be) to display script files. But when you edit them, the script on the server is not updated unless the server is restarted. (Or something like that)

It would just make sense to be able to do this...like editing files from a ftp server. When you use an ftp program, they dont force you to use a built in editor...it just doesn't make sense.
