Pet System

I figured there should be a thread about the topic Googi brought up.
We should all throw items and concepts on how the pet system should be improved/expanded upon
Here's how I think it would work well (compiling different ideas from the other thread):

EXP/Level
-Pets should have different forms of exp just like people. (phys and magic, and overall)
-Phys should improve a pet's ability to carry items

Stats
Str - effects pet's physical damage, and maximum weight one can carry
Dex - effects chances for pets to dodge attacks or make a successful attack
Con - effects pet's HP
Int - effects pet's ability to learn skills and spells
Power - effects mana (healing and attack spells for pets shouls fall into same category)

Well, now, I kind of have the whole system mapped out in my head, so I had better stop here so other people can put their ideas into this

Also, consider this:
Event pets
Limited-race pets
(maybe allow the option for players to have "limited" pets reproduce if there's a male and female pet of the same species)

A pet system might not save GK, but if it's done properly, it can attract some attention and keep people busy playing.

Edit:
Usefulness for players:
-Carrying items and picking up monster drops
-Working as a healer for the player
-Help player kill monsters
-Battle other players for fun (to be on a scoreboard and gain brag rights)
-Pet-item economy
