Changing specific colours on images

Is it possible to change certain colours of a graphic using scripting? (Kinda like how you can change the colour of bodies). This would be useful as I'd like to be able to change certain parts of pictures to the players elemental colours (especially in ganis) without needing to create a new image for each colour.
