Account Sharing?
|
I don't know if the title is misleading, but I'll continue.
This isn't a place to discuss a ban, so I'll keep it hypothetical.
What would happen if person A (from now on we'll call Joe) gets jailed on his/her account, and then logs onto Person B's account (we'll call them Bob). In doing so, Bob is believed to be account sharing, so he is globally banned without investigation. Person C (we'll call Frank) knows Bob very well and doubts that Bob willingly gave his password to Joe, and has never seen Joe on Bob's account once until Joe was jailed, and isn't impressed on how the situation was handled. In conclusion, Bob gets globally banned, loses the money he used to upgrade their account, and Joe walks away from the situation unharmed, with no addition penalization for logging onto the other person's account.
My question is, is this fair? Shouldn't Joe be punished? If Frank is wrong and Joe and Bob shared the account, shouldn't both of them get punished for their actions? As it stands, Bob is the only one punished, and Joe gets off scott free. I think sentencing (if the other individual is known) should carry onto the other person. Input? |
