About my events...

...and events in general.

Since everyone always asks me prior to an event, and it's getting rather annoying repeating myself 203120301230 times, I figured I'd just post up a thread and hope everyone reads it.

When I host an event, I don't have a prize picked prior to the event. I've created a Randomizer using Microsoft Excel, in which I run after an event to determine the prize. I only have a prize picked prior to an event when I'm asked to host an event for a specific prize, but other then that, the prizes in my events will always be random.

Also, players always complain that they are not around when events are held. I host events multiple times a week, whenever I'm asked to host or whenever I have time, so you should just stick around daily and talk to players on whether or not any information has been said about an event on that day. Unless I'm asked to host on the spot, I always get on and give a time on when I'm going to host an event that day. For that reason, when you log on Zone, you should ask around as to possible information for a future event that would be held that day.

I would post up dates and times for each time I will host on the forums, but I don't have gold/VIP, so I'm not going to bother frustrating myself with the 'I can only post once every 8 hours' rule.

No, I have not returned to Graal. In fact, I only log on Graal to host events on Zone and to help out those that need help. I do not have gold so there is no point in me playing Zone, unless it's to host or so. So, just because you don't see me around often does not mean I'm not hosting any events.

Another thing:

Stefan has created a system for ET's to be able to hand out prizes. Luckily for me, he made it attribute based, meaning that the prizes you can give out have to be in your attributes in order for you to hand out a prize. As many of you know, since I have no gold, my attributes reset each time I log on. For that utter inconvenience, I cannot give out prizes when I host. What this means is that if you win in one of my events, then you'll have to wait for either Vulcan or Stefan to get on so they can give you the prize, because I can't. Don't bother telling Vulcan or Stefan that you won an event and you need your prize. Each time someone wins one of my events, I notify either Vulcan or Stefan A.S.A.P, and they will not give you a prize unless notified by myself, or unless they held the event themselves. So, for those of you that think you can lie your way to an event prize, you are sadly mistaken.

Trial Guarentee:

I have created a sort of guarentee for the trials in which both Vulcan and Stefan approved of. The guarentee is as follows: Trials have 7 days, from the day that they won an event, to upgrade or they will NOT receive a prize. If you upgrade for a week, and you are handed your prize, and then your time runs out, and you re-upgrade a month later, then you will NOT be handed your prize again.

Prizes you can win as of 11/20/2005:

Explosives (includes rockets and so forth)
Money (not real-life money, Zone money)
Red Pistols
Blue Pistols
Reapers

Prizes in bold can only be obtained in events.

Some of you may assume that the Lava Gun is an event weapon, but it has been removed off of the list, because it will be given to a class for a map that is currently being worked on. So, those of you that have won the Lava Gun in the past, you should enjoy it while it is still 'rare'.

I believe that is everything. If I've missed anything, then I'll edit this post with more information, so if you have any questions, check back into my first post often to see if I've answered it. I can only post once every 8 hours, so I'll be editing my first post frequently if needed.

EDIT:

Also, until a new system for ET's is implemented, this rule will stand.

If you kill an ET in the event, then proper consequences will be given to you. Last week, two players (blue flames and genocide666), thought it would be funny to kill the ET in the event (one of them did it in the first event, and the other did it in the second event), so they were both banned for a week. I would not take this rule lightly, because it doesn't matter who you are, you will be punished if you go about ruining events. When I host, I make it loud and clear who I am at all times in the map, so there are NO excuses. Ruin events and you will be punished. Period.
