A threat from the north

Many generations ago the Zormite Empire was very prosperous and strong. Before this time it was a nation filled with unrest and an ever-changing monarch. Those were the dark times. These were the years that Dustari claimed much of the Zormite Empire. Life was hard and unsafe. Change finally came with the coming of an Emperor. Peace was established and the army was reformed. However, this Emperor lost his way while exploring new water paths under Mount Antora. An unusual current swept the Emperor away; this was uncommon as Zormites were the best of swimmers. The various warlords of the Sahuagin and Zormites found this the amble reason to cause a civil war to ascend to the throne, as the previous Emperor had not selected a successor. Knowing of this civil war, the nomadic Zaeri Tribe invaded the Empire and conquered the state. Their organization and ability to move quickly allowed them to come about such a victory. They selected a new leader who led the Empire into a new golden age.

The land-walking enemies of the Empire began to establish colonies in a newly found archipelago to the south called the “New Lands”. Not wanting to fall behind in the struggle between states, the Zormites did the same. Their swift swimming allowed them to reach the archipelago before the other nations; ergo they claimed the first island they reached. It was a small colony, lead by an Elder of Zormite, primarily meant for military garrisons and resource gathering. Few Zormites left the safety of their Empire for the uncertainties of the New Lands. This was not true for the human states, which left for the New World fairly quickly.

With the weakening of many land-walker states, the Zormite Empire took advantage of those nations and conquered them. Dustari had already left, but the Empire annexed its lands. The Samurai were quickly conquered by the elite Forza united of the Empire. The world fell into the hands of the Zormites. Few nations still stood

However, this golden age did not last long. Samurai astrologist noticed a large fireball coming towards the surface. They immediately went to the Zormite Emperor to inform him of what they had found. Knowing this the Zormites moved to Mount Antora, preparing for the worse.

In all truths, the meteorite hardly had an effect on the Zormites. They were scared over nothing. The majority of the Zormites lived, only to return to a ruined and devastated world. A few survivors began to rebuild their nations, the Zormites continued their rule over Samurai, and life went on as the Zormites began to rebuild to a Golden Age. Communication was halted between the colony and the Empire.

On the other side of the ocean the governor of the colony witnessed a large smoke cloud form over the old lands. He immediately cut communications off as he felt it would be a risk to send his men into a destroyed land. He proclaimed himself as the Emperor of Zormite and continued to lead his own men. Life went normally in both nations.

Eight weeks ago a lone Zormite was found on the shores of Dustari. Nearly dead, he explained that he was the Emperor of the Zormite Empire. That he had gotten lost exploring water paths under Mount Antora. The leadership of Dustari accepted him into the kingdom and notified the mysterious Zormite of all that has happened in the new world. Nothing has been heard about him since. A ship was also seen traveling north shortly after these events.

Two weeks ago, a large armada was spotted. Most of the ships had an unknown banner, while others held the Seal of the Zormite Empire. They were said to be moving south, and it would appear as if fish were swimming along side of the boats. Pirate scouts reported that there could be thousands on the ships, or even millions.
