I have no idea of whether or not this has been suggested, but calani seemed to like the idea whenever I mentioned it to her:
NPCs should have a certain amount of time after you say "wait here" until they respawn again in a different location. This would prevent the NPC from making the quest board stick for about roughly a week or so. (Like the cartographer NPC did before christmas.)
Also, NPCs should be running some kind of script that checks what type of terrain is directly underneath them as soon as they spawn to make sure they don't spawn over the water. (But not afterward. Otherwise, an NPC could never get across the ocean.)
And what's with the NPC in Kalimn? Why is he the only NPC accepting items at all times? I'm sure quite a few people are sick of having to wait about 2-3 weeks just to trade 1 cukoo or artifact away for a gold key. All 3 NPCs (The guy in Pirton, the Kalimn pub guy, and the other one.) should be able to accept all 3 gold key items at the same time. It's almost pointless to make cukoos or artifacts now, because the stupid quests keep getting stuck, and the only item you can trade in for gold keys is the Icebox.
