Maybe I was playing Star craft a bit to long.... however, I was thinking of maybe a race that is basically "bug like". It starts out almost like a warm type creautre not to big. It moves slow at this stage but, later it (maybe after eating so many bushes or something?) can find a safe place and morph into like an organic egg? If it is attacked well in this stage possibly could effect the out come a bit by maybe each 10 hits to it takes 1 hp point off it;s max? anyway maybe after 5 or more mins it hatches into a large (human/bomy size) bug like creature. Just a thought =p. Only basically to introduce the idea of evolution and stuff.
