Looking for...

Hey, so im looking for a few things to do with Scripting.
The main thing im looking for is a teacher. Well not so much a teacher but some one to give me a step by step guide of what i should do. I.E: Script this, if you have any problems talk to me via AIM/MSN. Really somebody to tell me what to do, and what ive done wrong.
The other thing i was looking for is an all in one scripting guide for a beggining scripter with the new scripting language.
I already read through that GraalWiki thing on scripting and a few other things but i didnt really pick up on what the hell they were talking about and how i could put that into an everday script like a gun system, disabling swords, lighting effects etc etc.
