RC scriptin?

Just an idea. So if anyone has a right they are not suppose to have they get D/Ced. This feature is only for managers though..
It goes something like this :

setstring this.allowed,WanDaMan,Playerworld account;
if(hasright(server options)){
if(!strcontains(#s(this.allowed),#a)){
sendtorc /dissconect #a;
}
}
What do you think? I like it I guess.. :o

How so? it's like a hack prevention..
So if some one gives some one level 4 it'll D/C them or something..
Better than waiting for some one who can do stuff who is actually online x.x

I agree. There should never be a point in time which someone gets a right which they shouldn't have, and if someone how they do, your staff should be respectable enough to just let a person higher on the totem pole to take it away without abusing it first.

edit: Then again, long as no one has rights the that specific npc that shouldn't; I see no harm.

A better hacking prevention; 1)Don't download from people you do not know. 2) Don't use trainers 3) Update virus program all the time..

Boom, no more RC hacking.

checking for the rights twice? How would that help? if they were smart, they'd just hack the extra rights string aswell.

Script kiddies would better describe them

I really see no reason for this RC thing though. The only people that should have the change rights right = manager and possibly co-manager. If they give away rights to people who dont need them, then they dont need the change rights right in the first place.

In all my years of playing Graal i've never heard of anyone hacking thier own rights. I believe that adding some sort of scripting hack prevention is therefore pointless, as it would take twice as long for an admin to modify somones rights (If not longer), and all because of a featue which in my personal opinion is not currently needed.

The ones that take the time to edit hex, etc... Yes, I do think they're smart, even if it is put to bad use.
The "hax0rs" that download a trainer from a site they found on google, and think they're awsome because they can make graal run in ways it isn't suposed to without understanding the theory behind what they're doing? No, I don't respect that latter definition of the already badly defined term 'hacker'.

Who do you supose makes the programs?
Sure, not every cheater makes their own trainer, but someone has to.

Yes, I agree 100%. A good server manager does not have problems with corrupt staff.

In a game run by children, bad server managers are expected.

Well, some playerworlds may be. But most are mature enough to handle the responsibility.

That sure is a lie.

A good manager can exist in a playerworld that is just waiting for the world to see, as the existing servers can, and mostly are full for corupt ... *cough*...
yah...

Good managers do exist, though they are far and few these days.
