Forgetting Spells...

When we get new and stronger spells ur old weak spells are useless. You dunno what to do with them. So we should be able to forget spells. When you forget a spell u get sp. Like if u forget a level 1 spell u get 1 sp max. Pretty useful if ur overflowed with spells

No they arn't.
Say I have cause light wounds and cause critical wounds.
New, harder monsters have been added so I use critical wounds.
However these monsters don't drop anything that is worth a lot of money so I can't make money from them.
Using critical wounds causes me say 15 grace a shot.
I want to make money so off I go to kill smoky's, hevil's etc.
I don't want to use critical because it uses up lots of grace but light uses up much less and still gets the job done so I would use it.

So in short you should keep all your spells.
Use the bind key when you get a lot.

Sometimes you want to cover a large area, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you want to spend alot of points to use a strong attack, other times (say when attacking weaker or dieing monsters) you don't.

Read his post -- he seems to be talking about VOLUNTARILY losing spells in exchange for SP. I would support that, I think (with limits) it would be a cool idea. I'd lose Magic Missile in a heartbeat, it barely works.

Limits: you should only be able to lose spells that are leveled at less than your Magic Level - 5 or so. That keeps you from gaining too much SP too quickly.
