A new Graal Website

Okay, the current website www.graalonline.com SUCKS!!!!, it's not even an improving website that shows you LETS PLAY GRAAL ONLINE, cuz the interface tells you: GO AWAY FROM GRAAL I AM UGLY, look at other game sites, with news on the page and updates, the current graalonline website is a flat, unupdated website, even there is no Register button, you have to go way the community-->Become a member, but everyone is lazy to do that, and the Download link is in community-->downloads, why would someone read that, everyone is lazy and want to do the easiest thing ever

It needs a full revamp, it has a section on Zone, and Skill Games, but it doesn't have -anything- on iPhone.

I'd love to actually make a website design myself as I've made quite a few ones for school projects, but the thing is that we don't have that much access to the files and such things we need to know in order to organize a new one properly, so it makes it quite impossible to make a new one just like that. I remember it being a GDT Project last year I think, right when the GDT was created. I had a few ideas in mind, but the discussion just stop'd and nothing came out of it, nothing productive nor concrete.

The access thing is just an excuse, no one had the motivation or talent to actually make one. There were people who offered to help but no one to lead the project and get something completed.

Besides unix/Stefan paid for the site they got built and don't want to admit defeat and use a community-created one.

But yeah, what fowlplay4 said: this has been discussed to death. If you want a new website, get a professional game site developer. If you are one, then please make a new website.

If such a miracle exists to help chances are they aren't professional if they think graal is worth taking up.

A professional web designer won't care how popular or unpopular Graal is. They're getting paid for their work, either way.

Chances are the current website was made by a "professional" who didn't know anything about Graal. Soala playing around in Frontpage would probably be better.

Eh. It's ugly and old, by today's standards. 'Simple, clean, and efficient' shouldn't be the only things taken into consideration. Besides, nothing about that design says, "Graal is a game!" But there's already a discussion somewhere about Graal designs, and that one was probably discussed, as it's not the first time I've seen it suggested.

The current website was probably made by a "professional" who received ideas from Unixmad, and did with them what they wanted. Said professional probably wasn't at the forefront of modern web design, either.

But hey, if you know an actual, great designer who plays Graal, that's nice! You should try and convince them to make a mock-up.

The problem is that people get confused when it comes to how to register, download the client, upgrade the account etc. and quite frankly - any of the previous website designs were hell of a lot more logical and organized than the current garbage.

This one is nice, the buttons are dumb, could use some touch up, but clean nonetheless.

New site should include an official Graal wiki of all servers, information about iPhone, and a real download/registration button >_>

Keeping in mind that Graal's ultimate purpose is to make Stefan money, why hasn't he redone, or at least assembled a team to do it for him, the website? It's driving players away by how ugly it is... It should probably be a priority for Graal to fix this.. ?_?

I like the header, but that's really all that looks finished. It's a decent mockup, though. The content block just needs refining, and we need some kind of actual Graal logo that represents the main type of server on the game.

I think it should be very community orientated, like bringing back the online profiles for each player that shows their stats on each server, showing the most active global guilds on the front page, etc.
