What should staff do? Restore? Scan the mudlib who has ammounts of food and chests? There is no way to find it out, and there is nothing we can do to prevent that

Reconstruct the MMT so withdrawing/depositing food is logged.

well, i know that this sounds like other servers food establishments, but what if mmt just converted to have an endless supply of food instead of making the food. like unholy nations food establishments and such.

If robberies were to happen what would be hurt the most? The economy. GK is an economy based server. You might say "food wouldn't ruin the economy," but food is used to craft several things not to mention if robberies happened then there would be almost no point at all (even if there is virtually none already) to go to the MMT for food.

Anyways, I really don't see the point in putting so much effort into it when it's just going to be stolen again. I'm going to make a big assumption and say it's the same person who robbed it last time, and that they're most likely going to keep doing it everytime you restock it.

Perhaps store minimal food in the actual shop and have the owner hold the rest in a personal house where only the owner/co-owner or two-three trusted people have access.

Stealing food also brings realism, it is an RPG if you forget, and people can steal in one. Then again a Tavern that no one ever goes to and no one ever serves food at is not very Rp-like.

You can't throw in realism for reasons why things happen, I hate hearing that thrown about whenever there's a problem.
I think anyone who works with games knows that gameplay is more important than realism, and you should never excuse something for realism.

What if there in need of food and the Owner is not on?..Just get something that will detect if the food has been stolen and who..

Eh... MMT is perhaps one of the best RP projects I've seen on GK for a long time. I'd like to see it continued, and as for the making of the food it does add a lot of realism (although I wouldn't mind seeing some "staff assistance" in requiring items that currently aren't craftable).

As for stealing being part of the realism... since its such an iffy subject "stealing" I think should be arranged beforehand by both parties, and carried out more in the sense of an RP event. Other players should be able to get involved to determine whether the MMT wins, or the thieves win.
