I'm back to graal, it's been so long.
I will not play the game like I used to, I simply don't have the time for that these days. But I'll atleast be around every now and then.
My most active days was around 2000-2003.
I've worked as a LAT, FAQ , Guild Admin, Ganis. And so on and so on. And my highest job was Staff Coordinator at the old server Providence.
My first job was at Andor as a FAQ, I can still remember how it felt i min stomach when I got hired. Everything was so new, and you felt so important.
After that I got to know Wan & Snakeandy the dutch brothers. Wan really helped me during my first few months as a Lat. He taught me everything he knew. And thanks to him I got my first LAT job at Bravo. After that I just kept trying out for other servers, which has made my resumé or what you'd like to call it that very very long. Alot of UC servers that never made the papers, Providence to be the most famous one.
This is why I quited graal.
First of all, everyone that I knew back then started to quit graal aswell. Well most of them actully quited when graal became p2p, but I sticked to it. I bought a account and kept playing for a while. Xew one of my closer IRL friends, quited after the Providence diasaster. When PWAs first fired Yen and made r0bin Manager over Providence. This is still something I hate the PWAs for, but as I wrote in another thread, everybody makes misstakes. Providence had over 50 players online when it was UC. Due to the Manager change, everybody that was true to Yen left the server. That included me, Xew some of our GATs all the LATs and all the NATs , the only few that stayed was Non dev staff. But the server was driven further and further down into the mudd. And finally, it closed.
After Providence, I saw no point in playing graal anymore, but after alot of consideration I decided to apply for another server that I thought had poential. (Can't remember it's name) Started with D something, could've been Delteria but I'm not sure. Well back then. When I got the job I was the only LAT and was instantly promoted to LAT Admin, but almost no one applied. This was a big set back for me, I was LAT Admin at a poential good server with almost no lats. When I started out about 20-30 levels were done. For a mounth I did about 5-10 levels a day, I barly went to school, I just keept leveling, cause I knew. People appriciated me for it back then, with troubles in school with my family and so on. leveling was like therapy for me. When I had done about 100-150 levels, something happend, I couldn't go on like I used to. The server barly made any progress, the NATs were lazy, and the owner didn't do ****. So I decided to quit this server. Not as dramatically as with Providence but I quited and felt good to be honest... After this I really saw no point in continuing with leveling It was no point, all the servers I'd worked for just didn't get any far. This was when I decided to apply for the Unholy Nation. Back when I applied for Unholy Nation. Unholy Nation was the best server for a LAT to work at. Not just cause you'd only have to do about 2-3 levels top! every week. But it was because the best of the best LATs applied for Unholy Nation back then. I knew it was going to be really hard to get a job there. But I applied, after the first round of applications. My name was in the NPC server as "top 5 lat tryouts". After a few days, I was "top 3" . They were going to hire two people. But when UN announced their new two LATs I wasn't one of them. I was hanging dry at the third place. I talked to one of the staffs after the tryouts and asked him what wasn't good enough with my LAT tryout? The staff simply told me, (this didn't help me at all, it made me feel even worse). It was really tight, they simply didn't know to hire either me or the other guy. So they had voted and with one vote's difference they had hired the other guy. And the staff who told me this said. "They should've hired you instead" But this was really something I didn't want to hear, man. How did this help me? For **** sake. I don't want to hear things like that, not now. Now what the **** am I suppose to do?
I decided to quit graal for good. Just because of a simple LAT tryout. It's silly but it's true. |
