Drakeero's Chosen Ranks Revised
|
Pojo has "inspired" me into a newer, more revised, somewhat simpler rank scheme based on more independent groups with far less complicated framework. Ranks here are much less based on prestige and status and more on skill and duty. Unfortunately, I probably won't use his exact recommendation word for word.
Underneath me is the Chancellor. Co-ruler. And in this case the big boss Tig. Underneath the chancellor are the circle of bosses, one for each of the specialized areas. Army, Magic, Priest, Navy, Citizen. Each boss manages his own little world in such a way that he can perform tasks assigned to him.
Each boss has the traditional chain of advancement. The core ranks as I like to call them. Each boss has a series of specialized ranks that act as individual occupations with specific duties rather then generic tasks set by the boss.
The ruling chain is very simple.
Emperor --> Chancellor
The ring of bosses are:
Warlord------Army
Archmage----Magic
Archpriest---Church
Commander--Navy
Mystic-------Citizen
The core classes are:
Warlord --> High Knight --> Knight --> Soldier --> Shield Carrier
Archmage --> High Mage --> Mage --> Apprentice --> Trinket Caster
Archpriest --> High Priest --> Priest --> Altar Boy --> Choir Boy
Commander --> Captain --> Sailor --> Cannonball Carrier --> Ship Builder
Mystic --> Trade Master --> Tradesman --> Laborer --> Unemployed --> LS
The special ranks are:
--Warlord--
Palace Guard: High Knights dedicated to defensive positions.
Champion: Whoever kicks the most butt at the time.
--Archmage--
Alchemist: Alchemist, helps provide enchanted gear, potions, and any other interesting alchemy objects.
Historian: Responsible for maintaining the histories of graal. Will move to the church after the current Historian leaves.
Script Master: Creates high level scrolls, primarily 107 destruction scrolls.
--Archpriest--
Inquisitor: Responsible for rooting out internal threats to the kingdom.
Librarian: Responsible for storing spell books and unusual texts.
--Commander--
Corsair: Incredibly talented one-man army of the sea.
Demolitionist: "I just like it when <bleep> blows up."
--Mystic--
Mayor: Takes control over a certain town. Control being the development of RP and the placement of player houses and fortifications.
Magistrate: Enforces kingdom rules and hunts down lesser threats not worthy of an Inquisitor. |
