Frozen Tear Remake...gone wrong or not?

Well some of you might remember the Frozen Tear

I tried to remake it as at a better size, since the texturing from Sage was awesome, but after I resized it I played with it a bit, and see what came from it O_O

Should I use it ? Is it any good ? I actually called it Dragon Tear !

People says I should call it Crystal Flame, w/e.

It looks alright but I like the blue one more

The frozen one looks better because there is a clear distinction between the blade and the handle, but I like the fire one because of the menacing look.

I wouldnt neccessarily say its "gone wrong".. but it's far from being something you can label "good". The overall idea of the sword is rather cool, you've just executed it poorly with a gradient styled look.. you need to smoothen it out, and define things a bit more. Here's a rough edit to show you what i'm talking about, its not the greatest as it was very quick but have a look and hopefully you'll be able to see what needs to be fixed. But other than that.. gj Soala.

Yeah I know, but the current details make it look like its transparent, just like crystal or anything, or maybe amber and I seriously liked it.

Yours look more like a flame :O

Lol sorry.. i had assumed that a flame was what you were going for roughly because of the name "dragon tear".. and dragons usually spit flames.. you know? yeah but oh well Either way, in my eyes it doesnt look very "transparent" at all.. more like a gradient than anything.
