New GP'S.. ?

Ok, during daytime on zone there is no GP'S online, So im am thinking Zone should hire some GP'S This we prevent Harassment,abuseive language and many other things.

Please post what you think of hireing some new GP'S.

A global is almost always online. If I find a hacker I usually don't have a problem finding someone to ban them.

Yeah but the trouble is, New players won't know how to contact a global. Especially if they're on other servers.

So correct me if I am wrong, but you want to hire ET's to be GP's (With the ban rights?) but the ET would still have to be online so they could just as easily contact a global.

It isn't really necesary to toss around the GP rights.
Example: Mightylord banning Dan, Stefan, Unixmad, Jesse. Thankfully he forgot Ravenblade so Raven did unban Dan and Jesse.
We don't want to have someone on the edge abuse their rights. It is really just easier to contact a global so that no ET would be stuck in a position where they could abuse. While there could be advantages to having an ET with those rights, I think Jesse should be given GP rights before any ET is given them. (Evidence: Anubis quitting because Dante had more rights)

Zone needs atlast 1 or 2 GP's whos just GP..
like make a new system for GP taged people so they can lock/unstick and ban
but not do Events?
-and its no point to say who will be a good GP right now

The problem is what if a GP is going to investigate a report of hackers. They warp to the player in question and are killed. So as to avoid that lets say we give them an ET tag. Then we are in the same situation again. Even if they have a tag just for GP'ing what is to stop them from hosting. Then if they want to lock someone or kick them from hacking on a dropship? Having people who are just GP's is an okay idea. I think it is simpler to just have the current number of GP's. The way you suggested a GP, they would have to make a whole new tag just for GP'ing. It is simpler to keep it the way it is with the ET's acting as GP's and then if they have problems they report them to whoever has ban rights.

well i ment like ET tag ... just that they cant host/giveitems/hire-/fire-PAs

so its quite smillar to ET but witout the ET host & other things related to Events Team'

and about that ML banned those people'
we could have use of an Admin GP with ban rights and the other GPs could have the edit comments right and list hackers in a comment named something like hackers or glishers, ect in the comment it could stake the accounts/ip/pcid?

Edit: about that they can hack on the dropship, so do i think they wound rather be offline then hacking on sucha boring place. (if u hack u want to kill not to be running around)

The guy who did it thought it was a joke though and didn't know we would not be able to login. It wasn't really a big problem though, I was unbanned within a few hours, actually 5 minutes after I noticed. Anyway, we global banned him

I have an idea! You could use the support center. http://support.graalonline.com/
Then when you have problems, you log in on the support center, you make a ticket, and Dan can check the logs because he checks the ticket.
If you have a GP admin then you are going to have people who have RC just for the reason of editting comments.

Besides, can't you just forum PM Raven the account name? He can check the logs to see if they were hacking. If you tell a staff member, and the staff member sees it, they can also tell Raven. Then Raven can ban them. So we already have a system similiar to what you suggested Deas. It just isn't clear cut because there is no GP admin. There is just one GP. If we have reports of hackers we just tell Raven and he can deal with it from there.

Raven.. Just about every ET besides minomato has debug access (Yah I don't get why Mino doesn't have debug..) so if that is how you are judging if someone should be a GP I'm a little worried. Hopefully, just hopefully, you meant Jesse already has remote control?

Anywho, Jesse you've gone and confused me again.

When we last were in contact, you were rather upset and went on a rant about not wanting banning rights. I said I could most definitely get Dan to add them to you yet you said no. I might not remember all the conversation, but I remember offering you the rights and you refusing.

Dante's nominations for GP:

Alright, I am of the opinion that Zone only needs one ACTIVE GP (supposing Dan steps up to the plate and does a few things) since really all you do is log in and check logs. It is true, however, that a GP should stay online and moderate what's going on...keep players in line and stop hackers from causing havock....
It is also my strong opinion that Dan needs to go through and check his staff throughly and come to his own conclusions as to who he should make a GP and possibly who he should remove from his staff. I'm supposing that, although it HAS been awhile since I did anything Graal related, Dan is still in charge and HOPEFULLY giving Zone the appropriate attention as required.

As for actual candidates:

Rykuz

One of my oldest Zone friends and one that I trust the most. Everyone knows and loves Rykuz, but I'm fairly certain he's not interested in being a GP. I'm only going on this because he's still an ET.

Desear
====
This is my number one recommendation. Back when I was ETA, I noted Desear had several positive qualities when it came to player relations. I watched him solve several problems regarding players in a very calm manner. I was highly impressed and, if Dan had asked me if I wanted to hire another GP, I would most definitely have recommended Desear.

Like Desear, I have noted that Hato can deal with player related problems quite well. He also has a very likable attitude and I was more than satisfied with the quality of his work as an ET. Another highly recommended candidate.

In all honesty, those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head that I think would be great. There are undoubtedly others, I just can't think of any right now.
