I started probally the laggiest fire EVER :o

And Now I am trapped in the middle of the laggiest fire due to walking over a land mine :O

Chris vs Vulcan in CTF (last two remaining out of about 10-20 people)

Vulcan won - of course. (He cheated by healing in a bed - but Chris was shotgunning vulcan up the whole time :P)

And btw - all that is is events... Infact people say every "modern" IS era, but only Era can be Era because it is so damn laggy - everyone lame - and every weapon is totally different in power and unequal.

EX: Katana vs Any-gun

Besides - why wasn't the Katana nerfed after after distributions of 30+?

While there may be only so much you can do, the levels do look like Era for the reason that those levels would look like Era fine, and for all I know I'd believe you if you turned around and said "SUPRISE, ITS ACTUALLY A SCREENSHOT OF ERA" as so many things look similar/same such as floors, walls, carpet, plants, notes of paper, doors. Yeah, I know it's not easy. But unless you change things people will call it Era as it looks like Era. I know Graal X was quite popular when it was last online, but if you ever want to convert Era players or players who don't play Era but may be interested in GraalX then you need to get rid of the 'Era' look, else they will log on, think they've seen it all before (which they have in terms of looks, as it looks quite like era) and not give it a chance!

The screenshot you attached is better, even though the colours have only changed, we're away from this Era look which is predominately black and grey - so avoiding those colours where possible will always be a good thing to avoid being labled Era.

Yes I agree, it is possible to make a modern server look nothing like era. "Example Bravo Evolved!"
If anyone remembers it was a great Modern playerworld.But I'am not indicateing GraalX isnt great aswell.Alot of those tiles (GraalX) look nothing like Eras but some are similar but then again different aswell.

Looks too much like Era. Put guns on shelves not tables, change some inside tiles. Why is your HP/AP just like Era's? (HP and Armor points right on top of player in almost the exact same format).

When I said change your inside tile, refer to attached. That's in your hospital and is a typical Era tileset wall. :O

also, Nobody can seem to modernize from the era tileset look? wth is that supposed to mean, its modern, and people with less talent tend to have similar styles (Ofcourse i dont mean any offence to anyone ofcourse) but thats just the way things go. The tiles on era, and the tiles on graal x are very simple, and they are modern, so they look the same.

Now ask yourself... era has been around for like 5-6 years now.. wth dont they have better tiles if non-public servers have just as good, and some of the non-public servers have only been around for a few months.

I took some tiles from each tileset and compared them. Indeed, you can see
that whoever made the GX tileset definatly took some of Era's tiles, and or,
modified.

Pretty much each comparison is obvious, but the last one, take a close look,
it's the same gfx style! The person who made GX's tileset is different than the
person that made Era's tileset, and I'm sure they both don't have the same
style.

Keep in mind GX is left and Era is right.

Oh, and the obvious one is the rounded sidewalks which originated in Era.

It's not what looks better.
It's the fact that none of these modern servers have any originality. That's why they always suck and never make it to the "big" servers. GX is just Era with smaller and harder to dodge bullets, rip off guns (bher2, ap7s) and a tileset that looks like a four yearold drew it. To top that off, each of the staff members pretty much sucks at their job and was hired upon asking. (Wil is my main example)

Wil was fired in a day, and about hired upon asking haha.. Haven't hired a member in so long to an actual dev team and kept my current one.

And about the "big servers". In 2 years not one server besides Zone (and enigma for 2-3 weeks) hit classic while being paid for. And i doubt it'll change because simply it's just to make money while these people play around and joke around.

Not one server in years to come will most likely hit classic from being paid for while keeping the same owner who started it (as in - without stefan taking over aka Zone)

Graal is very limited, as much as I am sure stefan and otehrs may doubt it. I've been waitign for G3D so I can start working on a modern 3d server

But if you can't do your own 2d tileset as you wish, how will you make all the graphics you require for a 3d world? At least with 2d what you see is what you will get, 3d textures come in weird shapes and forms!

and also, Those tiles arent the same..
sure they might be of the same type of thing, but no one goes between UN and Val and compares the wooden doors to eachother or anything.

Its a modern server, so is era, so ofcourse some of the tiles will be the same, its just gunna happen. especially with the walls or the tops of them, theres not much other ways to make them, so they are always alot alike.

plus era has proven some techniques better than others, so why wouldnt they use them? Its the same for any type of server.
