How about we add a little improved rp element to the ships?
Now the ships we have are reletiely small but i heard new bigger ones being made.
you should make it where it takes more than 1 person to sail massie ships.
such as the new frigates rumoured to appear sometime.
you could have crew members doing some jobs.
stuff like bilging (clearing water out with bucket in cargo for ever ball hitting ship)
manning sail ropes (increase boat max speed capacity)
repairing ship (special feature of the frigate, crew can repair but only slowly)
Even though it might be awkward it's rp, u think 1 guy could sail a frigate alone? not even i could har har.
PROBLEM:
not enough players for big arsenal of ships so...
Hire Npc's from bomboria and other towns.
Main island has a military or so it's assuming with the fort at bomboria and the town guards there, maybe you could enlist sailors to work on ship.
all it is... npc people standing there and so job all time.
basically like a boat upgrade, but if your short on plat get a player crew,
it would give the non-subscribers something to do. be a good adventure for them.
We'd need to think of a ship ownership for this ship though, maybe you can store the frigates in a harbour somewhere that cannot run out of space, somewhere like a npc that stores it away, and u talk to him to reclaim it.
each players has 1 ship slot and can store up to 1 ship.
Subscribers only tool,
And talk to the npc to get it back.
