Now, what if I didn't want to use the Admin-Playerworld# account? Is it possible to use my CURRENT account and still be the Admin?

Yes, use your Admin Account to set your "current" accounts rights, but this will not work if it's only a Classic account. It has to be, Gold or VIP. and add it to the staff list (your account) in the server options. and make sure to set the IP range.
