Some ideas for the IRC

I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not.. but i'm sure it will get moved to the right one.

The IRC.. A lovely little thing isn't it? Well, i have some ideas for it..

1: Flood stopper.
Like most IRCs this should have a flood stopped, if you send over 15 messages in X amount of time in kicks you from the channel.

2: Outside Connection.
Allow outside clients like X-Chat or mIRC to connect to this as well as the client, it'd allow for more personal/channel features.

3: Channel / Administraition Commands
I noticed that you can sware in these IRC channels and there is no kick or ban.. Maybe there should be kick and ban added for the channel starter and maybe a sware filter added that the channel starter can alter at will?

just some ideas.

I believe this "IRC" chat that they've got going on here is about as far away from real IRC as you can get. So I don't think there's going to be much chance of IRC clients connecting to it.

There doesn't seem to be any kind of Op status or ownership status or anything at the moment, so there can't really be commands such as kick and ban.

I was told by some testers at one point you could connect to it via clients like mIRC.

Right, but i'm saying op/ownership status should be added.

No, they are made so people can communicate through Graal and talk about events/etc, there's no need for that.
Yes, maybe a swear filter for all those who'd rather look at stars and still know what's behind them.

Well, it is a real IRC Server, and you were able to connect to it directly.

There used two be two halves. There was a specialized part controlled by the serverlister, which Graalians communicated on, and a real server that established a link to Stefan's server that had an events bot written in PHP on it. There isn't a real server now, though.
