I'm compiling the rules of Valder and Ghost Pirate with my edits to make our new set of rules.
RP-Related Rules
1. If you are on the kingdom tag, act in character. Talk as a pirate, not as someone player a computer game. ANY out of character (OOC) discussion is to be done in a double set of parenthesis. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS! (This includes having to stay IC if on tag on main island, and places where players "commonly talk OOC"). Game mechanics such as exp and leveling (unless you're saying "Let's go level", which can be stated in ways such as "Let's go train our skills of fighting") and anything that wouldn't make sense in a realistic discussion should be discussed OOC.
Example: ((What are the stats on that new item you said you got?))
Toguild messages, private messages (PM's), and mass messages are automatically considered OOC. There is no need for OOC parenthesis in them. Ksays are also OOC on the rare occassions which they are to be used.
If you want to stay on kingdom tag (to see toguilds and just to still be doing pirate things) and are doing something (such as leveling in monster caves) that you feel won't involve you RPing or might require you do mostly OOC talk/actions, you can put -OOC- in your nickname. However, refer to #7 on "General Rules" (Scroll down)
2. When using a kingdom tag, be sure to use a roleplaying name. A roleplaying name MUST consist of an original first and last name. This means no names from movies, novels, television shows, video games, or anything else. MAKE UP YOUR OWN NAME!
3. When using "unstick me", be sure to not cause problems with roleplaying action. If someone walks up to you while you're waiting for time to go by in order to use "unstick me", simply tell them in OOC talk that you are going to use "unstick me".
Example: ((I'm about to use "unstick me"))
4. During war, do not continue fighting after you "die". Simply go into the castle and wait.
5. "PKing" is only allowed if it is a part of RPing. Pirates are destructive in such ways. So you can only PK someone if the pirate kingdom is RPing with them. If the person doesn't belong to a group we RP with, you must go OOC to PK that person. If that person attacks you while you're IC first and you have NO other choice but to PK that person to avoid "death" (the nuissance of respawning and losing items), PKing is allowed. But you still have to RP. So RP as if the attacker is a savage beast or whatever works for you as well as roleplaying.
General Rules
1. Do not harass anyone in any form, including sexual harassment.
2. Avoid profanity in toguilds, in-game, on the forums, and in any discussions.
3. Do not speak improperly to great extents. This means no "u" "r" "ur" "plz" "pls" "wat" "y" "any1" or anything LIKE that. This also means no "leet" talk.
4. Do not scam players in trades of any kind.
5. Do not steal another player's house
6. Do not abuse of the ksay system. They are only for emergencies and announcements by high-ranking officials and should generally only be used by such people.
7. Stay active in the kingdom. This means using your tag and being in character often.
Result of violation of ANY of these rules may vary depending on the degree of the violation. Consequences may range from a warning to being removed and banned from Crescent Pirates.
Note: RPing rules WILL be enforced. The most important thing to remember is that you have to act IC while using a kingdom tag.
