"Something is in the way" bug

This message will CONSTANTLY appear while in dueling arenas. My guess? The little tiny sword NPCs on the ground. Lame? Yes. Bleh .. example: "Create Pool of Chaos" .. a very powerful spell, is totally obsolete because of this bug. I go to cast it, and "Something is in the way.". I try again, and again, and fail and fail. Sometimes I'll succeed, but only one or two icons of the spell appear. This bug makes MANY spells UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY USELESS. Don't magic-users have it hard enough already?

Also.. this message appears often, even out of arenas, even if something isn't in the way. I suggest that one be able to cast it even if something IS "in the way" (doesn't make any sense because other spells can cast over these "objects" that are "blocking the spell").

I got the same with Animate Weapon or Earth Elemental, though not in the Arenas. Still, the place where they'll appear is clear of anything that might block them, even flowers - the only thing that might get in the way are monsters that are prey for the spell anyway - so all I can do is agree...

Spells have a long range, and the "something in the way" is usually a wall, in this case, possibly the other side of the arena:
Suggestion, build a bigger arena.

Yes, some spells don't work in the arenas. That is because on every 10 tiles or something that is where the spells like runes and stuff appear. You can see it if you cast counter spell or walls.

Spells like that should appear 5+ tiles in front of the caster, if that is at all possable. So you can cast your create food and stuff and it doesn't go on a wall.

Yeah, I forgot to mention how this makes the casting of runes impossible, therefore making all of my rune spells useless ..

Some things, such as blood splatters or one of those holes in the haunted house can get in the way too, it gets annoying because you can just walk over those :|

I have that problem with summon pet monster in dungeons..
its range is like 10 or so tiles in front of me, and its nearly impossible to cast it

Spells accuracy are really off too...try casting a rune using mouse to chose it's location then use the "find traps" skill and I guarantee 90% of the time it's a 100miles away from where you planted it ^-^

a tip for casting summons in a dungeon, if you stand parallel to a wall, then the spell will suceed 100% of the time without the "something is in the way" message. Also, Runes are meant to be traps, such that you create a Rune near docks in a war, you know? then the enemy arrive on the docks and get smashed with a dozen fire runes :] Your ground troops enter and take down the rest of the weakened force.

I was in the middle of one of the large dungeon rooms with 2 rexes on me, with me trying to cast earth elemental in every direction... it didn't work...
Also, shouldn't the caster be able to see the runes he just created, at least for a bit? I read about the invisibility thing, but not seeing them when they are created is kinda... strange...

Runes are having images created, just wait a while.
