Poison

There are already so many spells and skills and potions. Why not spend a little time and make poisons that you can apply to a small weapon (dagger or black dagger) or food.

For instance you can buy them in stores or make them out of poisonous things (poison mushrooms). You can use the application to coat any item of food or a dagger. Both of which can only be coated with one poison at a time. If it is a dagger you can tell it is poisoned by a sign that appears when you right click it to gain information on an item as normal. When you hit someone provided it does not fail they succome to the effects of the poison, than the dagger returns to normal and needs to be recoated. If you apply it to food, it is impossible (unless perhaps with a certain skill) to determine if it is poisonous or not). When someone eats the item they succome to the effects of the poison. When you are pouisoned perhaps a notice at the bottom saying "You have been poisoned with ___". The effects of a poison last until a) you die b)you use an antidote (standard antitode cures all and should possibly be in stores). Here are some ideas:

Red Venom: An extraction from a parylizing mushroom that lies deep in the forests of far off land. Merchants have brought heaps of it over to the land of Graal. Effect: Halves your speed rounded down. Cost: Pretty cheap say the price of a restoration potion (60 platinum coins).

Black Venom: Taken from a very deadly snake in the jungles that lie deep beneth the sea. Sailors somethimes bring it to sell on shore to shopkeepers when they get the chance. Effect: Deals 1 hp damage every 3 seconds. Cost: As this is deadly, high. 150 of more platinum.

Shadow Venom: A mysterious poison that is known to quickly cause death. Stories tell about how the Ogma's (the evil poison master god) personal wriathe woman servants had it instead of blood. Anyone in contact with it is doomed. Effect: Halves your speed rounded down, deals 1 hp damage every 2 seconds. Can only be cured by death (antitodes do nothing). Cost: Shadow Venom is not bought but can only be made by high Ogma priests. It takes much time much skills and plenty of poisonous mushrooms to make.

Antitode: A cure for almost all known poisons except shadow venom. Effect: Cures any poison you have. Cost: Cheaper than the poisons themselves, perhaps 50 platinum.

Isn't venom from animals only? How can you make venom out of mushrooms lol.. you just need to change venom to poison and it would be fine.

Useless fact for the day:

Venom is something an animal produces to inject into the body, like snakebite... poison is something eaten or that works on contact, like a poison-dart frog that poisons you when you touch it.

Right...
Uh, shadow venom, if it's only made by priests, should be able to be cured by priests as well. That would only be fair, right?

Just wondering, since Bile (and maybe a few other gods, didn't check) is immune to diseases, depletion, and "death," would followers be immune to poisons as well, should they be implemented?
