Graal2002 Idea :)

Ok, i hopefully can explain some things, but i'm going to assume some things to make my point
I'm assuming:
1) the screen setup will be the same on g2002, or similar with the text enter box at the bottom
2) Graal2002 is meant to be a true roleplaying server

Ok, now my idea is this *ahem*
Have you ever been on a roleplaying server, and you had to do something the server had to offer....however, to use this npc, you had to SAY a command word, such as "enter store" or "leave boat"?
Well, doesnt that seem to break the rping moment a bit?
I propose a command bar -- a text input type area at the bottom of the screen, exactly like the speaking input box, except for one major difference. the text enter into that box does not appear over your head. It would still activate NPC's, but without breaking the rping moment....you could also keep the npc command that takes commands from the chat / text input box, for roleplaying commands such as "open sesame!" or "door!....open!"
You could either hard-code it to not appear over the players head, or have it appear ONLY over that players head, maybe in (( )) and in red or something....remember, these are only suggestions, stefan could easily change this stuff (duh) if he likes the idea....

good idea, kinda. i mean, it wouldn't really disturb the role-playing atmosphere that much. but it could be irritating. maybe their should be a 'mouse activated' npc or something. you click an npc (image or whatever) and it's set?

my idea? g2k2 should have new kingdoms and new everything. maybe you could have 5 kingdoms with their own towns. you start in the town with no alignment. kingdoms recruit players ever so often. this would eliminate all guilds, except those of the kingdoms! hmm, beats me. i'd like to be able to group up with people. i was going to use the idea for my server, but i chose not to. you can join a group of 3 travellers and then disband. you share your exp and items randomly goto 1 of the players. if it was rare or something. i don't know how g2k2 will work though.

only time will tell... and i can't wait!

that idea takes just as much away. If you think about it, when people RP in text, like in chats (/me hits you), its kinda the same. I can see what youre saying though. The second bar...seems kinda wastefull, seeing as you can just type in coding

well yeah you can get that npc command to do the same, but since its anew exe, just have it hardcoded instead of having to stick it with everything

no but serious i think the bar is a good idea but stefan should make a bar at the bottom that can be controlled by mouse or make something were you can do some sort of
