How can I get lights to show, using showimg, correctly when it is dark?

I use seteffect( 0, 0, 0, .7 ); then I have to show the lamps. But when I show the image, the image is darker, and hardly bright at all. Currently I'm showing it at a screenx instead of levelx, but that is very laggy becaues it has to be moved so much.

If you are using showimg, which layer are you drawing the image on?

Try messing around with the 'mode' value of the ShowImg:

Layer 3 draws it on the 'light's layer, and over the seteffect.
