Jo's events!

Well I just wanted to say Jo's events are a lot of fun. His hosting is the most creative hosting I have seen from any of the ET's. I hope the other ET's can be inspired to host something in the manner in which he does. I really enjoyed the speeder race he hosted this time Would it be possible for more commands to be added that would make this kind of stuff easier to host? It was a lot of fun thanks jo!

Maybe one or 2 events a day would be good. But I don't like how EVERY time I go to deathmatch or iricia, theres always some type of event going on.

I'm begining to think that we were better off with the old staff only.

I must disagree with you Sayian. Though more events are hosted, more hackers are also caught.

I cannot say i disagree with Sayian or Jesse.

Jo is the only active ET Jesse, Raven is only on to host which is oddly funny because i thought he'd get fired if he wasn't.

More hackers caught? Please it died down when the Applications were being accepted for the new ETs. There's barely ANY.

Sayian, the old staff were lazy *****s. Nothing/barely got done. I'm not sure what else is in work besides Gambet's admin thingy which is probably the only thing that's actually being worked on enough to be finish/released within' this year.

Jo hosts like every second like what i thought SN would do if he was ET, There's only like a few hours in the day of normal game play. I'm not sure how many times Jo hosted on iricia with Elites as the guild (With unfair advantages, Reapers/Candy etc) in melee event.

Elites still lose and why would anyone host all the time its boring after a while. Jo's events are refereshing and worth the fun. There is still plenty of normal time playing.

Haha they may lose cause there not getting the bases but tons of kills of it, Dude all the time i log on Jo is either A.Hosting or B.About to Host. :/ Lots of normal playing time? I laugh that fact. the only thing normal gameplay is when Jo has to go sooner than expected which is not often, Now im not saying "Jo go unactive!" Just lay off the events. i don't wanna come on when i get on Graal seeing most of the nubs at events that Jo is hosting.

That has absolutely nothing to do with hosting more events. Hackers will be caught either way.

If you are referring to me I've come up with brand new kinds of events, removed hackers from the game, planned out and revised ET/FAQ hirings, scheduled events, ganied the grenade launcher, created new heads/clothes etc, ganied the metallicrifle, got A LOT of bugs fixed (Bike's crash GFX, Mech's insert coin icon, etc), moderated the forums, created the new Alpha/Spar dropship which has been uploaded to debug and we are just finishing the rooms that you warp to when you enter, helped out on debug tons, given out new ideas that players might like, and I have hosted tons of events (Prized or not).

I've done a lot of actual uploaded things for Zone, but I have to manage everything that concerns players. I also answer questions non-stop when I am on Zone.

Oh and Supernanny, Jesse and I were the first to bend the ways in which events are played. There are now hide and seek, seek and destroy, RUN AWAY events. I admire Jo for his further attempts at making more ways to play events and I congratulate him on how he has handled them. Well done Jo! Bike racing was my idea first! >:o

I would try to host less but it seems to be what the server wants, i actually got a few PMs yesterday thanking me for hosting some out of the ordinery events, because there not so usual.

Excuse me? Have you even seen this thread and the amount of GFX it contains? It's only a fraction of what Sayian has done for Zone. The recoloured GFX are mostly the players (and mine :P). Sayian is highly talented with what he does and I doubt anyone would be willing enough to do the amount of GFX he has made for Zone (And to such a high quality).

Il ahmen to that! WOOT! . I think somewhere along the line someone got confused about the whole lazy staff thing, because out of every staff ive ever seen on zone, Sayian is definatly the least lazy. (But then again, his jobs fun )

I think what John meant about lazy staff was the previouse staff like Vulcan, though Vulcan did have more than his fair shares of works other than hosting.

I'm not trying to insult any of you and your skills, but that list contains alot of recolored gfx, alot of badly gfx'd items, and yes made by by players.


That just adds on to the staff not doing as much as they should.

All I saw in this thread was Sayian saying that a bunch of crappy playermade gfx, a few really nice gfx, and a huge crate of recolored gfx is all the staff can accomplish in 3 years.

Sayian has made tons of GFX that are very nice, not just a few. There is more to Zone than the actual visual updates that you see. There has been a lot of debugging and small changes. The server must be managed, dealing with hirings, scheduling events, bringing back old planets or not, debugging a new planet on debug, whether the chainsaw was a permanent prize or 1 hour so more events could be hosted, etc.

I know that. Jo further bends them and shows more creativity ina long time. And may I ask you something? Who suggested 2 of those events to you?

sayain does make lots of gfx. John please stop spamming this thread. It was supposed to be about how jo was doing a good job and possibly on a few ways he could improve it.
