Kesugi, A Samurai Among Soldiers

Alright, I'm new to role playing, and to Samurai itself. I'd appreciate any critisism to improve my story. Also, if were suppost to follow a specific guideline rather then create our own, let me know and I will attempt to create a story through those guidelines.

Kesugi Kenchu, a Samurai among Soldiers

Cold, it was so cold. Layers of snow coated the dead minutes after they had fallen. Samurai and Soldiers from both sides hadn’t seen an hour’s peace in weeks, until this day. Leaders from the both sides had directed their armies back to their camps for a day’s peace.

Much discussion was occurring amongst the Samurai leaders, they knew victory was within their grasp. They knew, twenty four hours from now, they would ride to their victory.

For the Japanese Soldier’s, there was very low moral, for all of their leader’s had fallen. By rank, next in command was Kesugi Kenchu. He knew the odds of their victory, yet, had faith. This faith gave his Soldiers strength, and they prepared to make their final stand.

Hours passed, their day’s peace was coming to an end. After a nights sleep and food in their stomachs, both sides were ready for the final battle. The Samurai had outnumbered the Japanese Soldiers ten to one, but these odds meant nothing to Kesugi and his men. The two sides had formed the lines, waiting to see who would make the first move.

Arrows were fired, the Samurai had a surprise force attacking from the seas. From these attacks the rest of the Samurai army began to rush for battle. Kesugi ordered his Soldiers to attack the main army. He had believed their arrows would be rendered useless when crowed amongst the rest of the Samurai.

Men and women were falling quicker then before. The Soldiers fought bravely, but at times, bravery can be a terrible enemy. The Soldiers fought until only one stood tall, Kesugi. Three men rushed towards him, their sabers held high, he dived towards the man on his right, piercing his armor with his blade. He then used the mans body as his shield from the other two, *Crash*, they had slashed their fallen Samurai. He then rushed towards the two, retrieving a nearby sword on the ground, slicing between the two of them.

Many others attempted to take down the Soldier, but he was well trained with his saber. He fought the Samurai until he was shot down by the archers. As he fell to the ground, he looked at his hands, they were covered in his own blood. He assumed his time had come, but he thought wrong. As the victorious Samurai army was leaving the lands, the leaders approached his slowly dying corpse. He had gained their respect, and they knew he was more then just an ordinary Japanese Soldier, he was truly a Samurai at heart.

They took him with them, nourished him back to health, and he had accepted their hospitalities and learned the ways of the Samurai. Months passed, until he was forced to once again, fight in a way of Soldiers and Samurai, but this time, he fought as a Samurai, prepared to make his future through their guidance.

If you're going to roleplay, it's usually a good idea to do it in-game.

Ah, I wish we had more like this.

Good roleplaying battle sequence, you'll gain my attention from that kind of thinking.

If you need my help in any of these roleplaying events, send me a forum PM. I'd enjoy participating as long as my illness doesnt get the best of me.

I wish we could roleplay things like that out in the game, but until bjorn is made developer instead of manager graal kingdoms will never be capable of having more than 5 players who care about playing the game.

I wish I could leave my posts on a good note, but I cannot do that until we have mini bush of out of the deciding roles of this server.

Thanks for your story. We really need some stimulations for RP. I think the kingdom forums are a very good place to make such publications. Keep going.

Well since thats what I named my character, I thought it would be appropriate for me to post it under Samuria's boards with a background history on him. I wanted to continue by stretching the truth about events that happen to me while on GK. Thanks .

Applogies for double post, but heres a bit more of my story... I'd like to note, I am making us this, I doubt it will/has happened. But who knows, I'm a newbie XD. I also want to point out, I chose the winning/losing kingdoms and the alliances between kingdoms at random. I don't wish to offend anyone.

Months passed, until he was forced to once again, fight in a way of Soldiers and Samurai, but this time, he fought as a Samurai, prepared to make his future through their guidance.

Kesugi was new to these lands, this Land of Graal. He had learned about each of the kingdoms on this land: Dustari, Forest, Zormite Zepublic, Crescent Pirates, and of course, his own kingdom, Samurai. These kingdoms each had their own diplomacy and ranks. The members of each kingdoms followed those of higher ranks, and the higher ranks listened to the leader.

He had also learned of an attack which had been planned on the lands of Samurai. The Pirates of the south and the kingdom of Dustari had planned to overthrow Samurai for quite some time, but their actions were becomming more obvious, and ships were being built by the dozens.

But Samurai weren't the only ones who had noticed this alliance, Zormite and Forest had taken note to it as well. Samurai had sent representatives to both of these kingdoms, to request soldiers to assist them in the defending of their kingdom. Their calls were answered, and on the night of the battle, Zormite and Forest ships had arrived on the Samurai shores. Troop piled out of the ships, their swords held high.

The Pirates and Knights of Dustari were not about to back down, the ordered all of their troops to head to the farthest western point of the island. The command was made, it had been fulfilled, and enemy cannons bombarded the kingdom of Samurai, along with the reinforcements from Forest and Zormite.

Kesugi had learned many things, but one thing he had taught his friends, was to stand your ground and never give up. Kesugi and a battalion of Forest troops had swam onto the Dustari ships. They killed all on board, and began to fire at the Pirate's ships. The Pirates on land seen this and assumed they had betrayed them. Battle began and the alliance of Dustari and the Cresent Pirates soon ended. Zormite, Samurai and Forest watched as their enemies eliminated all chances they had at victory.

Hours had passed, Dustari had held held back the Pirates but had fallen. The Pirates, now realising they had no hope in victory, begged for mercy. Samurai returned their remaining three ships and they sailed back to their lands.

Zormite and Forest were well rewarded for their assistance, and Samurai had lived to see another battle.
