Universal Graal

Are there any plans for a universal version of Graal?
It's not so important as other updates I've mentioned, but it would be a bit faster.
Plus, over a slow network, it's terrible.
I wouldn't dare spar through rosetta.

I am not sure how easy it is to compile a Universal binary without an Intel machine, nevermind test. I guess it is easier when you are using Xcode, but I doubt Stefan is.

We don't have an Intel Mac right now. Also we will probably not release Graal as universal binary since it is updating quite often and putting both exes in the download would mean double download times for people (universal binary basicly means putting the two exes into one).

You could create separate versions.

As for an Intel Mac: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...0&nclm=Macmini
I assume you have a screen a keyboard already

Although if all you needed to do was compile or test the script, you could ask a few of your Intel Mac-using customers. (Yes, I am one).

I understand that this isn't a priority, however, in the future, non universal applications, or companies that do not offer intel versions, will be left in the past. Just pointing it out now, for future reference.

They look good for just playing like MP3's in your living room or watching movies with friends. But I don't know what soundcards / graphic cards are compatible with it.

I don't know either.
But if all he wants is an Intel Mac, it's the best way to go.
I wish they made some cheaper models, like a cheap laptop with a centrino processor, low ram, etc. Just for students, or, in this case, developers.

Graal source code certainly won't be let out of Cyberjoueurs' reach. Don't get your hopes up.

Yeah, I know

I care more about seeing the client working better for Macs. It was worth a try
