Mental experience?

Hi!
I have a question: How do I gain Mental experience?
I have 250, but no idea where I got it from... I'd really like to be
more intelligent than a battle potatoe...
And to be able to read and write...

You gain mental by reading spell books, high level scrolls things liket that, also by writing letters and using woodlore on monster parts and alchemy.

I'm Barbarian, I can neither read nor do anything magical

You also raise it by baking, crafting and using magic and doing alchemy. Use the command /skills to check how to raise them.

You will need to learn literacy to be able to read thing.

As a barbarian you probably have woodlore, use that to identify monster parts.

Woodlore is very helpful. Thats about the only thing I've found to raise wisdom on barbarian.

Hmm... I tried it but it always says "you learn nothing"...

Use it after you picked up monster parts.

Or mushrooms. Set your Woodsman skill to a hot key, and get in the habit of using that hotkey anytime you pick up something.
