move() doesn't update NPC position

I've got an NPC that uses move() to walk.
This NPC's walk animation has a particle effect. When the baddy is moving, the particle doesn't move with it. I have the emitter's position constantly being updated in a timeout.

Also, I have a custom name system that shows NPC and player names.
When an NPC is moving, the name doesn't move with them until they stop moving.

This should go to the scripting forum. Are you sure you are updating the position of the showimg? Have you tried to use the "attachtoowner" option ?

I've used everything. attatchtoowner, attachposition, using an attr[] to attach the effect, and so on.
Nothing works.

I have noticed this too, I think the position of the monster is not getting updated until it finishes moving. (When you put x=x while a monster is moving, he will revert back to where he started)

That problem is bad on Maloria, but I recall someone telling me that using "move(blahblahblah)" wasn't such an efficent way to move NPCs...

It's efficient, it just doesn't work the way you'd expect it to.
