I present to you, something I just finished scripting for the playerworld X but I will now release publicly due to the fact that it could be useful everywhere.
It is basically a system which allows you to set your own weapons to S and even do different actions when you fire a weapon with your S button, it requires nearly no rescripting of what you've already got.
Ok, the rescripting which you'll need to do is this:
- All disableweapons will have to be replaced with level.noweapons=1; enableweapons in turn becomes level.noweapons=0;
- If you want to make a weapon deletable simply add:
if (weapondestroy&&isweapon) destroy;
to the weapon.
Now on to the extra flags (and changed) flags:
- weaponfired, this is if the weapon is fired with either S or D
- firedonhorse, this is if the weapon is fired with either S or D while the player is riding a horse.
- Sweaponfired, if the weapon is fired with the S button
- Dweaponfired, if the weapon is fired with the D button.
- Sfiredonhorse, if the weapon is fired with the S button on a horse.
- Dfiredonhorse, if the weapon is fired with the D button on a horse
To continue, you'll note that if you press Q you won't get the weapon menu which you'll normally get, instead you'll get something which I put together myself, you can cycle through the weapons using the left and right arrow keys, if you press A while having a weapon selected the weapon will be attempted to be deleted, if you press S or D while having a weapon selected that weapon will go to either S or D depending on what you have selected.
Feel free to download it and check it out, also feel free to make any changes to it that you'd like. I'd also appreciate if you use it on your server you could put on your website "With thanks to Lady Midnight", although you aren't required to do that.
Oh yes I haven't tested it online yet so I'm not sure if it will work without problems but I think there won't be any.
