Okay stefan said pets will do jobs for you.

here is a little idea to that.

those yoda pets look hefty, if they mined for you it would be great. each pet has a different job.

Yoda's mine, monkeys or squirells carry minerals to the mining hut load up the machines there and go back for more. there you could colelct them off your pet by petting it or playing a type of song?
maybe a shepherds song or something. your pet drops the minerals xD
but if you want to do some hardcore mining get your horse and let them toe some mining carts for you back and forth, but you'd need a monkey or squirell to load it up. to allow horses to pull you need to drop on them a item called a Rope, crafted same place as saddle. you are limited to 5 worker pets. so.. could have 2 mining.. 2 horse's pulling a cart each and monkey waiting at other end to load em up xD then gather all pets at end with follow song and play a type of gathering song?
