npc errors in a separate tab

how about putting the npc errors in a separate tab
instead of all those errors cluttering up the rc chat window.

there could be a server option such as
scripterrortab=true
and that would put the script errors in a new rc tab
just like joining an irc channel in rc opens a new tab, but it would link
to a text field containing the script errors.

if you are having that many errors that you would need something like that to prevent that much cluttering.. you need to spend some time reading the wiki again.

i'm not speaking for when i script. i mean for the people on my server, and the other server i help with, who are learning to script.
the errors get in the way of server planning conversation and can get distracting.

This is already in RC2.

Say /join #channelname in RC chat, similarly, /part #channelname. Alternatively, press F7 and select the "Channels" tab.

I hate in-game chat commands, but RC chat commands don't bother me much.
I like the idea of an NC tab

That would be a lot better, should also have the level saved: levelname things put in there.

exactly - have all the "welcome to the npc server for playerworldname" and all that NPC stuff in its own tab, saving the chat tab for actual uninterrupted player chat. This should not be too hard to do I think, just a matter of creating two tabs on rc world login, then of sending the output for npc server stuff to the npc tab?

Also make it so you can log onto multiple playerworlds with one RC client :-x

Not that it would be useful for me lol but it would be nice.
