Player/NPC movement

I am so happy right now. I have just completed a movement class with functions movedx(dx,dir,object) and movedy(dy,dir,object).
dx,dy- total distance
dir- direction moving (nonvector 0,1,2,3)
object- object being moved (player,this,npcs[index])
It has a perfect wall check and will work the same within other movement systems that acknowledge walls. Meaning we at Classic will now be able to very easily build different kinds of movement. I don't think Master Storm has seen it yet. Once Classic has a few quests up, you should all come see.
I'd show you the code, but I'm feeling too greedy and I want Classic to be better off with it. It is less than a single page, amazingly (well, until I put the functions for both serverside and clientside). It's great for baddies and player movement manipulation. Now I wonder if anyone feels challenged to create something similar, but even better. |
