no punching

I noticed on GK that I can't punch, but I can spinkick.
when I have my weapon unequipped all i can do is spinkick.
it works on V2 though

Seems to work ok for me (tested with a wand, don't have a sword right now). Does anyone else have this problem (and can you provide any more details if so?)

it is when i have no item equipped. no sword or wand in hand. If I try to puch buy hitting the s key it doesn't work. but when I hold s and hit up on the arrow keys he does a spinkick. that's all that works.
